Our Mission (Vision of the Parish)

Our mission is to transform our community and the world by following Jesus’ Truth and sharing Jesus’ life according to divine principles of the Gospel.

What do we do as a Church?

Spirit filled Worship and Dynamic Music, Powerful Preaching. Youth on the move for Christ, Social outreach, Evangelisation Religious Education for Children, adults, Faith Formation, Bereavement and Sick ministry.

Conclusion

St Peter Claver is the “mother of them all”. From Pimville began the Missions of Evaton, Meyerton, Benoni, Germiston and Alberton. Through the late Father Delajod OMI, the Orlando East Mission came into being. From it started the Orlando West, Meadowlands and Dube Missions. Fr A. Paulsen OMI, who was once in charge of Pimville, worked in the Moroka shanty town. From his efforts came Mofolo parish, then followed Molapo, Zola, Moletsane, Emdeni and Phiri. Though Pimville is now a poor parish, from it came the spirit that built up the Church of Soweto. Please God, the day is not far off when Pimville will again be the Mission of the Archdiocese.
